Bodies of Knowledge
An Intergenerational Dance Project
The Bodies of Knowledge project is a unique hybrid of dance education, creation, outreach and performance. It was launched in October 2024 by Frog in Hand to challenge problematic assumptions about the length of a dancer’s career, and stereotypes around aging. Bodies of Knowledge aspires to build social cohesion, spark joy and celebrate the spirit of dance that lives in us all.

Testimonials
“Thank YOU for a lovely, joyous performance of an excellent project. Watching the more mature dancers bring their presence of lives lived, with beautiful economy of movement and wonderful rhythm to the piece was very moving and eye opening.”
- Producer, Luminato Festival
“It is a perfect example of, what is nearly always unattainable, thoughtful and meaningful co-operation for the greater good. And what you all made was beautiful art, with your movement, your music and your affection for each other. It's grand to know that you all had the opportunity to reveal that same feeling and experience in your earlier performances for younger audiences at the schools.” - Audience member
“That was lovely and moving and I am so glad I went. A work of art. I feel fed. Thanks to all of you.” - Audience member
